Every now and then a tool comes along that is perfect in its design but so simple that you wonder why you have not got one before. The rear main cap removal tool made by C.R.A.P. (no joke) out of Coal City , IL is that kinda tool. Over the years I have tried a variety of different techniques to remove the rear main cap, but this is by far the most efficient. I found this one on Ebay for $21.00 plus $8.00 shipping and it was worth every dime . Simply place it over the main cap and attach the bolts, then slowly tighten the supplied nuts and PRESTO the main cap slides up.
