Hey all you FrEaks out there, welcome to the rebooted FE Club of America. My name is Dan Cain  , and after a lengthy hiatus  from writing about FE's I am back.  In this first writing I am going to try and catch up the ones of you old enough to remember the old FE Magazine and club and introduce myself to you newer folks. I am referring to newer as guys that have gotten into the FE world in the last 10-15 years , after the magazine had shut down. I was born in the mid 70's to a dad who started racing in 1948 and continues to drive and work on hot rods and FE's today at 86 years of age. I came home from the hospital in a 428 CJ shoehorned into a '48 F1, I started  out right to be sure .  In due time i got my own FE ride in 1986 and started racing it in 1989. Safe to say I am an addict ' albeit a functioning one.     After a number of years scouring every magazine to pick out one FE article I came up with the idea for an FE  magazine and club in the summer of '98.  We put together a 12 page magazine and headed to the  Columbus Ohio dragstrip for the fall Ford race. It was overwhelming the interest we got, and it was at that show where we introduced the now familiar  " Fear starts with FE" slogan on our shirts. within a year we hosted the first ever all FE show and drags and by 2002 it was a three race series . Knoxville Tn , Columbus Oh, and Haggerstown Md  were the strips that hosted the shows. But in 2003 life intervened in the way of a divorce and ensuing judgments caused me to shut the club and magazine down without the possibility of transferring it . Fast forward   13 years  my oldest is in her final year of college and my youngest daughter is 18 and a mechanic in the army ( apple did not fall far from the tree) . So now I have some time on my hands and returned to writing about the engine I have loved and raced for close to 30 years. In the spanning  years after the magazine  I still built and raced FE's locally but always tried to keep a finger on the pulse  .  With the internet there are many great FE sights from forum talk , Facebook discussion, and parts sites .  So what we are going for is a general hub to connect all those places as well as feature cool FE rides and great tech with some stories of days gone by. So join us if you will as we  start on a quarterly time frame of all new articles and eventually move towards a bi monthly publications. So if you are trying out a new combo ,  testing a product , or have a cool ride with FE power, please feel free to send it in  we will share it.  The sight will be growing in features and size as I get acclimated to this medium but please be patience .  So whether there is one reader or a thousand i will be here banging away on this here fancy typewriter.  Welcome and enjoy these pages and we will endeavor  to bring you the coolest and most informative FE things around.
